What we collect

This policy applies to all information collected or submitted via the website or app. Users can create accounts, order products, make offers, send messages, review sellers, sign-up for our newsletter, and create a seller profile. Some members or visitors may choose to create an Online Exchanges account using an external third-party application, such as Facebook. Online Exchanges may receive information from those connected third-party applications, such as your name and email. Connecting your Online Exchanges account to third-party applications or services is optional.

How we use your PayPal account information

As stated above, if you choose to become a marketplace seller, you are required to provide your PayPal account first name, last name and email address. We use this information to confirm that you have a Verified PayPal account. PayPal allows certain 3rd parties to electronically submit a user's first name, last name and PayPal account email to request confirmation of the user's Verified status. Upon submission, PayPal electronically returns a status result. We have no control over this result from PayPal. If PayPal does not confirm Verified status of your account, you are not eligible to sell products viat the website or app. We do this to ensure our users have PayPal protections in place when orders are placed.

This may include your name, email address and any other information you choose to voluntarily share with another user. We do not mine user messages for information or pull any such information and store it separately. However, these messages may be reviewed by Online Exchanges personnel for the safety of our users and to ensure marketplace policies are being followed.

Security

We maintain administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against accidental, unlawful or unauthorized destruction, loss, alteration, access, disclosure or use. For example, all information you provide to us is stored on secure servers behind firewalls.

You are responsible for choosing a secure password when we ask you to set up a password to access parts of our website or app. You should keep this password confidential, and you should choose a password that you do not use on any other site. You should not share your password with anyone else, including anyone who claims to work for us. You should change your password from time to time to help ensure that your account remains safe.

Please note, despite the measures we have implemented to protect your data, the transfer of data through the Internet or other open networks is never completely secure and there is a risk that your personal information may be accessed by unauthorized third parties.

Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information at our website from those we actually know are under 18, and no part of our website is structured to attract anyone under 18.
